British fashion designer Jonh Galliano was found guilty on charges of anti-Semitic insults to three people in a Paris cafe. He was fined  6,000 euros in total and he was not sentenced to jail.

His lawyer said the designer was happy with the results. Galliano was not present at the trial because he did not want to be confroted by the media.

After a video appeared in which he made a speech praising Adolf Hitler, Galliano was fired by Christian Dior in March. On this trial, he was convicted for public abuse based on ethnicity, race and religion.

Galliano stated that he has problems in his memory because he has an addiction. Therefore, Galliano’s lawyer explained he was a sick person and suffering from addiction and showed some medical reports.
