The latest session of the trial of the former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak has started on Thursday in Cairo.

Two witnesses from the Central Security Forces are to give testimony on Thursday.

One witness accused the former interior minister Habib el-Adly for killing protestors during the uprising that caused the Mubarak’s downfall in February.

The jugdes also has invited some members of Eygpt’s ruling military council to decide the leader’s role in putting down the uprising against his rule in this year.

The 83-year-old Mubarak is on trial on charges of the deaths of protesters.

If the court finds direct order from Mubarak to use lethal force to kill protestors, this would increase the pressure for a death sentence for him.

However, if engagement is considered as less direct, the court would result in ligther sentece.
